We are not from here.
We met in San Francisco, a city almost nobody is from. It started with a run around Lake Merritt. By the end, we knew what we wanted to build.
We almost called it Immigration Run Club. Instead we chose the word this country's paperwork already uses for us. Alien Run Club. The name was given to us. We decided to wear it.
So we are building the run club we needed when we each landed. The club is free, forever. The clothes are numbered and made slowly. Every drop pays for someone's first race entry, first shoes, first months of belonging somewhere new.
We are at the beginning: a drawing, a waitlist, a weekly run about to exist. That is enough to start.
If you're from here, welcome. If you're not from here, you already know.
